Pupils commence their preparation for vocational education during Year 10. Boys sample each vocational area for set short programmes, during which time they learn something about the areas of investigation and exploration they can follow.

In Year 11 boys pursue one of the options for a significant proportion of the timetable, as full time members of a department team. Our vocational options are practical and allow pupils to sample a little of life in a working environment.

All boys in Key Stage 4 pursue Work Experience placements in their home area, arranged and planned with parents and carers through a recognised work experience agency. Reports from Work Experience placements are retained in each pupil's Record of Achievement, along with all certificates, credits and commendations accumulated throughout his stay with us.
