At St Edward's we provide a sense of order, purpose and continuity. In an atmosphere of calm we want all our pupils to realise their worth, achieve the best outcome they are capable of and recognise that they are valuable. We try to instil values of generosity, compassion and kindness, to guide them in the relationships they make in life.
We provide many opportunities for boys to engage with the community here and to study and sample life in other cultures. Most school days begin with our Thought for the Day. Boys can manage many aspects of it by reading, acting, making and appearing in short films, playing guitars, piano and drums.
We encourage boys to place a value on their education. We guide them to achieve realistic targets in their social lives and we offer them a wide range of options for recreation and sport. We ensure that boys have the opportunity to see life from other people's point of view, and to even make a difference to the lives of people who have other difficulties. We have several open access days for special units when our pupils can aid, assist and entertain children and their carers.
We offer pupils the opportunity to sample life snowboarding in the French Alps and on other outdoor adventures in Wales and elsewhere. These experiences can create life long memories.
