St Edward's Charitable Trust is an independent day and residential special school.  Owned and managed by the Roman Catholic Diocese of Clifton, we provide care and education (day placements and weekly boarding) for boys aged between ten and sixteen-plus who experience behavioural, emotional and social difficulties (BESD).

Boys are typically referred by Local Authorities. St Edward's is situated in a substantial park on the edge of the New Forest in Hampshire.  It benefits from extensive grounds, a wide selection of workshops, specialist buildings, and very impressive sporting facilities.  The school provides an education and care service during the school year.  In addition to a full and varied curriculum, pupils can participate in a wide range of extracurricular clubs and activities.

At St Edward's we help pupils make better choices about their behaviour and consider the effect it has on others.  We seek to help pupils attain a level of academic success, enabling them to exercise a wider choice of career opportunity.

The School Handbook is given to every pupil who is new to St Edward's. It is a very detailed booklet, written very much with young people in mind, and contains all the information that may be required by pupils considering the possibility of joining the school.
